Perfection

Perfection in society is in the real world impossible to attain. But in the ideal world, at least to me, There are somethings that i would change that are for some reason a really big problem in todays society and (at least to me and what i see and hear) especially in the mormon community. First off to you mormon folk who think that you are better then everyone just because you have found god and your morals are high. Your not. And you have no right to judge someone because of their different moral standards, belief, and sexuality. Someone is not a bad person just because they are different from you and your social norm. Just because a goth wears black and has random spikes on their clothes does not make then evil or satanic or lower then you.
In a perfect society i think people would still have their differences but they wouldn't be so judgemental about those differences and be such a butt about it and force their beliefs down the other persons throat. The perfect society or at least a society that was striving for perfection would go by this quote, "You can love completely without competely understanding." Someone told me that quote when i came to them complaining about my troubles with certain people.
I cant really say that i love the people that put down emo like people or gay people but i can say that i am trying to love lthem alittle more then i do now. I will try to understand why they are constently putting down people of a different faith and statis quo. I realize that i am being judging of those people that i disagree with and i will try to be alittle less judging. But for know i will stick to what i believe in and if that means telling someone that they are being stupid about something that i believe is right or ok i will. I also realize i am being alittle like those people that i am talking about trying t force tolerance on them, But would tolerating some elses belief really kill you or rip your very soul down the the dark abyss of hell? I dont think so and i think being here on earth is the place that we should strive to understand and tolerate not put down and smash under your feet. Its a simple statement to say you need to tolerate, but the action is one of the most complicated.

Hi, Blake. I agree with your ideas about our need to be less judgmental of other people. This is particularly challenging whenever you have a majority/minority situation. As you pointed out, I do wonder if you could state this idea in a more appropriate tone. Some of the words you used in this post were inflammatory and likely to offend at least some members of our community.

Thanks.

i totally agree with you blake....people really should be less judgemental but i also think that it depends on the person not the religion....like i used to be mormon but some of my best friends were goth, emo and gay....but you are right a lot of religious people consider people like that evil devil worshipers.

Hmm, interesting. But i totally agree with you. Unfortunately the "average utah teen" is verrrrrrry judgemental, especially of anyone out of the mormon lifestyle...or whatever you want to call it. However I strongly believe that we need to be the examples, like you said, showing others how to tolerate and learn to love. Altogether, I agree and am working on not judging as well.
